Anton PatakiHudson – Anton Pataki, 94, of Hudson, died Thursday, Jan. 4, 2017 at Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing in Westborough.

He was born in Beocin, Yugoslavia the son of the late Anton and Franciska Pataki and was raised and educated in Curitiba, Brazil.

Anton worked at Crossroads Café in Acton for many years. He was a talented Pedreiro/Stone Mason and owned and operated his own construction business while in Brazil.

He was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Hudson and the Hudson Senior Center.

Anton, lovingly called Vovo, was adored by his family, especially his four granddaughters. He was a sweet and gentle man of integrity who was incessantly joyful, hardworking and always faithful to God. Some of his favorite things were the New York Yankees, strawberry cheesecake, and walks in the park. Anton lived a long, happy and fulfilled life surrounded by his family. He truly made the world a better place and will fondly live on forever in our hearts.

He was the father to three sons, Adilson, Alcides and Altemir Pataki, all of Brazil; a daughter, Maria Andrea Andrade of Hudson, who passed away Sept. 24, 2017; his son-in-law, Joseph Andrade of Hudson; his grandchildren, Christina A. Warner and her husband Ryan of Seattle, Wash., Olivia P. Andrade, Michelle P. Andrade and Kamila Andrade, all of Hudson, Arion A. Pataki, Alison Pataki, Alexander Pataki,

Delbi Pataki, Esteferson Pataki, Derica Pataki, Pricila Pataki, Rodrigo Pataki and Tauany Pataki; his siblings, Alexandre Pataki,Irene Pataki, Izabel Pataki, Margarida Pataki, Julia Pataki, and Estevão Pataki; and many nephews, nieces and cousins.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday, Jan. 9, from 6-8 p.m., in the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home (www.CollinsFuneral.com), 378 Lincoln St., Marlborough. Private burial will be held in Hudson.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Anton’s memory may be made to a charity.
