Grafton – Sophia M. (Duzyk) Perron, 96, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her first husband, Ernest Flockton; all of her siblings; her son-in-law, Lawrence Dunbar; and her former husband, Charles Perron.
She is survived by her daughter, Sonja Dunbar; her grandchildren, Debbie L. Auger and her husband David, Kelly Dunbar and her companion David Matusiewicz, and Colleen Maurais and her companion Gerry Michaud; her great-grandchildren, Nicole Auger and her husband Maxwell Sauber and Corey Auger; along with several nieces and nephews.
Sophia was born Sept. 18, 1921 in Montreal, Canada, daughter of the late Agatha and Paul Duzyk. She moved to the United States in 1951 and settled in Grafton, where she would live for more than 65 years.
Sophia was happiest being a “Nana” to her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, was always busy with her hands knitting and crocheting, and was easy to find working on a crossword or word search puzzle.
Final memorial arrangements for Sophia are private at her family’s convenience.
Please honor her with a memorial donation to The Grafton Food Bank, PO Box 324, Grafton, MA 01519.
