State Police Museum to continue mission at new site

Grafton – Last February a two-alarm fire caused extensive damage at the Massachusetts State Police Museum and Learning Center on Worcester Road. While many of the artifacts were saved, the building itself, which was a former State Police barracks, suffered extensive damage.

Since the repairs are expected to take up to possibly two years, the Planning Board approved a measure to allow the museum to relocate on a temporary basis to an unoccupied storefront at 308 Providence Rd. The approval was needed from the officials since the temporary location was originally zoned for mercantile.
