Malkit SinghMarlborough – Malkit Singh Ji, 78, of Marlborough passed away Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Brighton. He was the husband of the late Mohinder Kaur Ji, who passed away in 1994.

Mr. Singh was born in Punjab, India, the son of late Mohinder Singh and Dhan Kaur.  He owned and operated a retail store and was an entrepreneur his entire life and passed on the same values of working hard and always doing what is right to his future generations.

Malkit Singh Ji was a member of the New England Sikh Study Circle in Westborough and was a devoted family man who adored his grandchildren. He enjoyed listening to music, keeping current with the news, and watching television.

He leaves two sons, Baljit Singh of Marlborough and Gurpal Singh of Cambridge; three daughters, Avinash Kaur of Marlborough, Seema Singh of New Jersey, and Neeru Peterson of Framingham; seven grandchildren, Abhijit, Tejeet, Simran, Kiriath, Karan, Jasjit and Davejit; and two great-grandchildren, Sahibjit and Niam.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, Jan. 24, from 9-11 a.m., in the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home, 378 Lincoln St., Marlborough. A service will be held followed by cremation the same day at 11:30 a.m. at Rural Crematory, 180 Grove St., Worcester.
