Hersson VillatoroMarlborough – Hersson A. Villatoro, 59, of Marlborough, died suddenly Monday, Jan. 22, 2018 at Marlborough Hospital. He was the husband of Sandra Judith (Marroquin) Villatoro for the past 38 years.

He was born, raised and educated in Champerico, Guatemala. Hersson was the son of the late Adolfo and Elizabeth (Meono) Villatoro. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts and Accounting and later attended Law School.

He was a chef and dietary aide throughout the MetroWest area for many years. He loved traveling, cooking for others and spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid Real Madrid soccer fan. Hersson enjoyed spending time at his son’s restaurant, Villatoro Restaurant & Cafe on Lincoln Street.

In addition to his wife, Sandra, he leaves three sons, Hersson A. Villatoro Jr. and his wife Catherine of Marlborough, Allan J.E. Villatoro and his wife Lauren of Grafton, and Herbert “Monty” Villatoro of Waltham; two brothers, Balfre and Ronald Villatoro, both of Montreal; six sisters, Aracely Rodriguez of Smithfield, R.I., Ruth Mendez of Leominster, Gladys Funez of Westminster, Rosemary Villatoro of Gardner, and Roselbi and Sandra Villatoro Barrios, both of Montreal; three grandchildren, Emilia and Maya of Marlborough and Jordyn of Grafton; and many nephews and nieces. He was the brother of the late Jorge Villatoro of Marlborough, who passed away last year.

Calling hours will be held Friday, Jan. 26, from 6-9 p.m., in the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home, 378 Lincoln St., Marlborough. A funeral service will be held Saturday, Jan. 27, at 10 a.m., in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street.
