Northborough – A free workshop, “Creating Successful Students,” will be held Monday, Feb. 12, at the Northborough Library, 34 Main St., from 7 pm – 8:30 pm.
The workshop, led by Dan Levine of Engaging Minds, is designed for all parents of all types of learners. It will discuss strategies for reducing academic stress and how to strengthen executive function skills at home. The workshop will include a Q&A and small group break-out sessions.
Strategies to be discussed include how to help your child get “unstuck” when initiating tasks and how to be more organized; how to promote flexible thinking, enhance working memory and sustain attention; and how to help your child set goals, stay on track and follow through.
The workshop is being hosted by the Northborough-Southborough Special Education Parent Advisory Council. In the event of inclement weather, view updates at www.nspac.org or on Facebook. Questions about this workshop can be emailed to [email protected]
