Therese A. ChasseMarlborough – Therese A. Chasse, 83, of Marlborough, died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018 after a period of failing health in Marie Esther Health Center.

She was born in Stoughton, the daughter of the late Joseph and Diana (Ricard) Chasse, and was a 1953 graduate of Holy Name High School.

She worked for over 10 years in the Diocesan Cursillo Movement and considered it a privilege to be a part of that Ministry. Therese worked for 33 years at Wyman-Gordon Company. She was a volunteer driver for the American Cancer Society for eight years, and was an Associate of the Sisters of Saint Anne.

She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, travelling and dining with her sisters.

She leaves two sisters, Sr. Diana Chasse, S.S.A. of Marlborough and Annette Castonguay of Upton, and many nephews, nieces, grandnephews, and grandnieces, all whom loved and honored “Aunt Therese.” She was predeceased by her sisters, Jeanne, Yvonne Beland, Claire Pratte, Yvette Sottile and Irene Bugan, and her brothers, Leo and Raymond Chasse.

Viewing will be held Thursday, Feb. 8, from 9:15-10:15 a.m., at St. Anne Convent, 720 Boston Post Road East, Marlborough. A funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. in the convent chapel. Burial will be at a later date. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home, (www.CollinsFuneral.com), 378 Lincoln St., Marlborough.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to the Sisters of St. Anne Retirement Fund, 720 Boston Post Road East, Marlborough, MA 01752 or to a charity of your choice.
