Northborough – Mary Dargie, 85, passed away Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018 at the Beaumont Westboro Rehabilitation Center with her family by her side.

She was predeceased by her husband, Ben, in April 2012 and leaves her loving and constant caring sister, Dolly Rutcho of Worcester; her brother, John and caring wife Jeannette of Florida; four children, David Dargie and his wife Mary of Waterford, Conn., Beth Powers and her husband James of Virginia, Joseph Dargie and his wife Julie of Upton, and Bernard Jr. and his wife Jean of Vermont; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her brothers, George and Pandeli Rutcho, and sisters, Lynne Dante, Lillian Kresco, Christina Mongeau.

Mary was born and raised in Southbridge, daughter of the late Naun and Penelope (Anastas) Rutcho. She graduated from Mary E. Wells High School in 1950. Mary married Ben shortly after and worked as a homemaker most of her life, and owned a Ceramics Studio for many years.

She enjoyed her family, holiday gatherings, and traditions. She most enjoyed sharing her daily thoughts. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church in Northborough.

Mary enjoyed her retirement years with her children and grandchildren and her summer vacations at York Beach Maine.

Calling hours will be held Monday, Feb 12, from 6-8 p.m., at Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St., Northborough. A funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, Feb. 13, at 10 a.m., at St. Rose of Lima Church, 244 West Main St., Northborough. Burial will follow in Howard Street Cemetery.
