Damariscotta, Maine — Richard P. Lindsay, 84, who was born in Marlborough and lived there for most of his life, died on Saturday, Feb. 3, at Chase Point Assisted Living in Damariscotta, Maine, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. His wife of 49 years, Janice, was at his side.
For many years, Dick was a research engineer at Norton Company in Worcester (now Saint-Gobain Abrasives), retiring in 1994. He and Janice moved to Maine in 2003.
Besides Janice, he leaves their son, Christopher Lindsay, of Sherman Oaks, Cal. and his family; his brother, Norman Lindsay, of Northborough and his family; and his sister, Carol Fallon, of Westborough and her family.
A memorial gathering will be held this summer in Marlborough.
