Marlborough – Roger H. Nelson, 84, of Marlborough, died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018 at Marlborough Hills Healthcare Center, Marlborough.
Born in Concord, he was the son of the late Lowe and Marion (Garland) Nelson and the husband of Barbara (Bergeron) Nelson.
He had been employed as a loader operator at Assabet Sand and Gravel in Maynard for many years, before retiring in 1998. He was a longtime member of the Maynard Lodge of Elks #1568.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Roger Nelson and his wife Diane of Bellingham; his daughters, Diane Smith and her husband Brian of Marlborough and Barbara Nelson of Onset; his grandchildren, Sonia, Rose, Samantha, Zachary, Remy and Toby; and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, Feb. 14, from 5-7 p.m., followed by a service at 7 p.m. at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough. Burial will be held at a later date.
