Shrewsbury – William “Bill” Holden Hesselton, 75, of Shrewsbury for over 40 years, died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018 at Knollwood Nursing Center in West Boylston.
Bill was a graduate of Shrewsbury High School, class of 1961. He then served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
He worked for Howard University in Washington, D.C. as an engineer in the power plant up until his retirement.
He is survived by his children, William H. Hesselton Jr. and Christopher Hesselton, both of Virginia, and four granddaughters Sarah, Lily, Paige and Sophie. He is also survived by his brothers, Kenneth Hesselton of Connecticut and Douglas Slogar of Texas, and his longtime friends, Evelyn and John Crowton of Shrewsbury.
Family and friends will honor and remember Bill’s life by gathering for calling hours Thursday, Feb. 15, from 10-11 a.m., at The Chiampa Funeral Home, ~Sumner House~, 5 Church Rd., Shrewsbury. His funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be at Mountain View Cemetery.
