Anastasia M. AleraHudson – Anastasia “Ann” M. (Anastas) Alera, 95, of Hudson, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2018 at UMass Memorial – Lake Ave., Worcester after a brief illness.

She leaves two sons, A. Keith Alera and his wife Roberta of Shrewsbury and Thomas “Tom” Alera of Hudson, and two grandchildren, Kristin Bell and her husband Michael of Charlestown and Jason Alera of Shrewsbury. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, godchildren, and many close cousins. Ann was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Victor “Tony” E. Alera; four brothers, George, Vangie, Peter, and Charles; and one sister, Rose Margarit.

She was born in Hudson and lived there all her life. She was the daughter of George and Athena (Theodore) Anastas who immigrated from Permet, Albania.

She worked as a teller at Hudson National Bank for 20 years. Prior to that, she worked at the family business, A & A Pizza, with her husband, brother Charles, and sister-in-law Grace Anastas.

Ann was a member of St Mary’s Albanian Orthodox Church in Worcester, St. Luke’s Episcopal Church and the Emblem Club of Hudson. Ann enjoyed summers at the Cape with her family. She enjoyed cooking and having her family constantly visiting her at her own home, where you were fed regardless of whether or not you were hungry. Her world was her family.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, Feb. 22, from 4-7 p.m., at TIGHE HAMILTON REGIONAL FUNERAL HOME, 50 Central St., Hudson. A funeral service will be held Friday, Feb. 23, at 11 a.m., at St Luke’s Episcopal Church, 5 Washington St., Hudson.
