Antoinette J. BaldelliMarlborough – Antoinette J. (Mantha) Baldelli, 88, a lifelong Marlborough resident, died at home Sunday, Feb. 18, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.

She was the daughter of the late Eugene and Anna (Thivierge) Mantha and the wife of George A. Baldelli, to whom she had been married for the past 67 years.

Following her graduation from Marlborough High School in 1948, Antoinette began working as a telephone operator at New England Telephone, retiring in 1989.

Devoted to her faith, she was a longtime member of the Immaculate Conception Parish and a participant at daily Mass. In 1995, she began a weekly Cenacle of Prayer group in her home offering prayers for the Church, families, youth and children.

For many years Antoinette worked alongside her husband, George, at Baldelli’s Greenhouse in Marlborough. She had quite a green thumb of her own always proud to show off her blossoming orchids. Antoinette loved the seashore and regularly spent time in the Caribbean and along the coast of Maine. She enjoyed travel, visiting many shrines throughout the world. She loved planning parties and entertaining family and friends on every possible holiday.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her sons, Anthony Baldelli of Palmetto, Fla. and Thomas Baldelli and his wife Coleen of Marlborough; her daughters, Kathleen Richov and her husband Craig of Westborough and Christine Mulvey and her husband Joseph of Marlborough; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews She was also the mother of the late Stephen Baldelli and the sister of the late Albert W. Mantha and Aline Antonellis.

Visiting hours will be held Thursday, Feb. 22, from 4-7 p.m., at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, Feb. 23, at 11 a.m., at the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlborough. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street, Marlborough.
