Shrewsbury – Beverly A. (King) Johnson, 82, passed away peacefully at home Sunday, Feb. 25, 2018 following complications from colon cancer.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Ronald Johnson, and her siblings. Priscilla Malo, Richard E. King Jr. and his wife Elaine, Barbara Barnes, and Sandy Bianco and her husband Rick. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Fred King, and sister, Muriel Ayres.
Beverly was born July 12, 1935 in Worcester, daughter of the late Dorothy (Bodge) and Richard E. King Sr. Her roots were in North Grafton. For many years she lived in Shrewsbury with her husband Ron.
Beverly adored her family, was easily found at a bingo game sometimes three times in the same week and was a loyal fan of the Boston Red Sox.
All are welcome to gather with Beverly’s family and friends Wednesday, Feb. 28, from 9:30-11 a.m., at Roney Funeral Home, 152 Worcester St., North Grafton, followed by a prayer service at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. She will then be laid to rest at All Faiths Cemetery in Worcester.
