‘Match Game’ coming to the Shrewsbury Public LibraryShrewsbury – Next month, teams comprised of friends, family members, or coworkers will have the opportunity to compete for prizes in a game show fundraiser at the Shrewsbury Public Library, 609 Main St., Saturday, March 17, at 7 p.m.

In this first-ever event, local celebrities will serve on a panel, and teams will try and match their answers to humorous fill-in-the-blank statements. This pressure-free, laugh-filled night will include a fondue bar (both cheese and chocolate), an exclusive raffle, and of course, lots of matching with some very special guests. The list of celebrities includes State Representative Hannah Kane (R-Shrewsbury); State Senator Michael Moore (D-Millbury); Kathleen Keohane, Shrewsbury Colonial Fund Coordinator of Development; Marc Serra, general manager, Shrewsbury Media Connection; Arathi Cowlagi, Keller Williams Realty, India Society of Worcester member; Mike Lapomardo, local actor, business owner, and chair of the Library Building Campaign; Maribeth Lynch, Thrive Real Estate Specialists; and Board of Selectman Chair John Lebeaux.

To register, teams must reserve a table for $100 via Eventbrite (http://bit.ly/2BoUVM4). This donation allows up to six players to attend the event. Dunkin’ Donuts is the official sponsor of the event, and many other local businesses and individuals have contributed to make this night a success for both the attendees and the benefiting nonprofit. The game show will also air on local cable TV.
