Shrewsbury hockey defeats Hudson; advances to finals

Fitchburg – The top-seeded Shrewsbury high school boys’ hockey team defeated fourth-seeded Hudson 6-2 in a Central Mass. Division 3 semifinal playoff game. The game was played Tuesday, March 6 at the Wallace Civic Center in Fitchburg.

Shrewsbury’s Anthony Quinlivan scored just 24 seconds into the game, and the team never looked back.  Liam Quinlivan scored two goals and assisted on two more.  James Tepper, Dan Holloway and Pete Belbin also scored for Shrewsbury.

David LeMoine and Jameson Fecteau scored for Hudson.

Shrewsbury, now 17-2-2 on the season, advances to play Algonquin in the division championship game Sunday, March 11 at 6 p.m. in Fitchburg.  Hudson concludes their season with a 9-7-6 overall record.
