Margaret M. BrosnanGrafton – Margaret M. (Kearns) Brosnan passed away peacefully Thursday, March 8, 2018. Margaret was born in County Sligo, Ireland. She was the daughter of Mary Anne (Gaffney) and Patrick Kearns.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, John Brosnan, and her children, Brian Brosnan and his wife Elizabeth, Mary Brosnan-Quilliam and her husband Bill, and Karen Miller and her husband Michael. She was Nan to five grandchildren, Caitlin and Daniel Quilliam, Megan Bradbury, and Michael and Debbie Miller. She was predeceased by her sister, Bridget Bodah, and her brothers, James, Paddy, and Michael Kearns.

Margaret was a Licensed Practical Nurse, working at the Grafton and Westborough State Hospitals for 28 years. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Mary’s and St. James Churches in Grafton.

Closer to home, Maggie was known for her signature roast beef and gravy, kitty cat pancakes, and lemon meringue pie. While she was happy close to home, she enjoyed trips to Footbridge Beach and the Marginal Way in Ogunquit, Maine during the summer. Maggie cherished spending time with her grandchildren. She will be remembered most for her gentle spirit and kindness.

Her family would like to thank the exceptional staff at Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Westborough for their compassionate care.
