Marlborough – Theodore Souris, 87, died Tuesday, March 27, 2018 after a short period of failing health. He was the husband of the late Johanna (Beck) Souris, who died in 2013.  They were married for 48 years.

He was born in the Bronx, N.Y., the son of the late Carmela Pinto and Theodore Souris, and lived in Marlborough for 20 years.

Mr. Souris was a United States Air Force veteran of the Korean War who was honorably discharged and received the Medal of Good Conduct. He worked for National Cash Register company for many years and later became a teacher in the New York City public school system.

He is survived by two sons, Theodor Huber and Christopher Souris of Marlborough; two grandchildren; a niece, Louise King of Holliston; a nephew, Anthony Deltuva of East Meadow, N.Y., and their families.

His funeral will be held Tuesday, April 3, at 10 a.m., in Saint Matthias Church, 409 Hemenway St., Marlborough. Burial will take place Thursday, April 5 in Saint Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale, N.Y. Visiting hours will be held Monday, April 2, from 6-8 p.m., in the William R. Short and Son Funeral Home (www.shortfuneral.com), 95 West Main St., Marlborough.
