Matthew F. TaylorUpton – Matthew F. Taylor, 54, of Upton, formerly of Westborough, died unexpectedly Thursday, March 29, 2018 at his home.

He was born in Marlborough, the son of the late Omer W. and Sheila (Flint) Taylor. His family relocated to Westborough, where he graduated from Westborough High School in 1981.

Matthew worked as a truck driver for Consolidated Fabricators in Auburn for 15 years.

He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and his gift for making people laugh. He was fun to be around and had a knack for livening up any gathering. He was a movie buff, an avid John Wayne fan and a talented mimic, just ask his sister, Paula! He enjoyed golfing, cooking, discussing politics and current affairs. He valued time spent with his family and had a special place in his heart for his cat Sunny.

He leaves his step-mother, who raised him from the age of 7, Judy Allen of Marlborough; two brothers, David W. Taylor of Manchester, N.H. and Jeffrey M. Taylor of Hudson; three sisters, Paula J. Whynot of Aruba (formerly of Auburn) Alison R. Dolder of West Linn, Ore. and Lisa M. Flanders of Lakeland, Fla.; two sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law; and many nephews, nieces and cousins.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, April 5, from 5-8 p.m., in the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home, 378 Lincoln St., Marlborough. A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 23, at 10 a.m., in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street.
