Marlborough – The Council 81 chapter of the Knights of Columbus, based in Marlborough, are celebrating their 125th anniversary this year serving this community.

As such, the Knights are appealing to Marlborough residents and companies to reach into their pockets to help make a difference locally. All funds collected from this campaign will be directed to help Marlborough’s residents in need, veterans, and children.

The Knights will partner with Roland House, the Marlborough homeless shelter; the Veterans Support Alliance; and the Special Olympics. This will complement ongoing programs that are in place to support their Marlborough neighbors.

To support their efforts, visit www.KofCMarlboro.org and make a donation via PayPal or credit card. If you would prefer to make your donation by check, make it out to the Knights of Columbus and mail to: Knights of Columbus, 88 Roundtop Rd., Marlborough MA 01752.

The chapter will hold a 125th Anniversary Gala Saturday, Sept. 8, at the Marlborough Country Club, 200 Concord Rd., Marlborough. Tickets are $50 per person. The event will include a cocktail hour from 5-6 p.m., with dinner at 7 p.m., a silent auction and guest speakers. The guest emcee will be WBZ sports broadcaster/announcer Mike Riley

If you are interested in attending the gala, contact District Deputy Mike Gibson at 401-490-1851 or visit www.KofCMarlboro.org.
