Marlborough  – The Boys & Girls Clubs of MetroWest (BGCMW) is celebrating the end of a great season for the local Youth Basketball Program, a 10-week program that has been running for more than 35 years. The generous support from the program’s League Sponsor, Main Street Bank (MSB), formerly Marlborough Savings Bank, allows the organization  to continue serving more than 700 boys and girls in grades K-12 each season from Marlborough, Hudson and the surrounding communities. MSB has been the League Sponsor every year since 2008.

Thanks to MSB,  more than 60 local Team Sponsors, volunteer coaches, and the staff of the Boys & Girls Clubs of MetroWest, were recently proud to announce the division championship teams for the 2017-2018 season:

  • Boys Grades 5-6     Empire Pest Control
  • Girls Grades 5-6:    MetroWest Subaru
  • Boys Grades 7-8:    Midland Graphics
  • Senior League:        MultiSource Financial, Inc.

The Girls Grades 3-4 teams and Boys Grades 3-4 teams celebrated the end of the season with a Jamboree, during which each of the teams played in scrimmages against one another.

“We are very grateful for the continued support of our League Sponsor, Main Street Bank, the numerous team sponsors, the many volunteer coaches and our wonderful Club staff,” said Fran Hurley, president of the Boys & Girls Clubs of MetroWest. “Their dedication to the Youth Basketball Program has allowed us to continue providing our recreational program to the youth in our community at a very affordable rate.”
