Algonquin tops Shrewsbury in lacrosse battle

Northborough – The Algonquin Regional High School boys lacrosse team defeated Shrewsbury by a score of 13-8 in a game played May 1.

Tommy Ackil, Will Levine and Cal Willwerth scored three goals apiece for Algonquin.  Ryan Decker had 10 saves in goal.

Chris Campbell scored three goals for Shrewsbury and Alec Buduo scored twice. Goalie Michael Formal had twelve saves.

Algonquin’s record now stands at 6-2 on the season while Shrewsbury falls to 4-6.
