For my brother, David: As many of you may know, my beloved brother, son, grandfather and bon vivant has slipped these mortal bonds. Do not weep for him. It would embarrass him and make him uncomfortable. Instead, let us treasure his example. He was fearless, loyal and loving to a fault. He trod this earth as a madman, a lover, a cohort and prince. He was an exemplar of most things that are good, just and worth fighting for. If you had the honor of knowing HIM, you know this. If you didn’t, you missed out on a golden opportunity. You missed an opportunity to know a great man. A good man. A generous man. A man that was, yes, conflicted, as all of god’s chosen are. The world today is a little empty without him. Let us fill it back up with memories, respect and a notion that we have all been loved by a lover. Much respect to all and sundry. Celebrate his life, party with his passing and remember…love whenever you can.
