West Townsend – Perley L. Ordway III, 63, of West Townsend, died Thursday, May 24, 2018 at The Highlands in Fitchburg. He was the son of Perley L Ordway Jr. and the late Gloria (Blackman) Ordway of Marlborough, and the husband of Lydia “Lee” Ordway of West Townsend.
A graduate of Marlborough High School, Class of 1972, he had good heart, a great sense of humor and was always the “Life of the Party.”
A huge NASCAR fan, Perley also enjoyed playing golf, listening to the Beatles and Lynyrd Skynyrd and playing guitar.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his sister-in-law, Jocelyn Bishop of Stoneham; his nephews, Brad and Cameron Bishop; his cat, CLEO; and many cousins.
Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, May 30, from 4-7 p.m., at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, May 31, at 11 a.m., at the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlborough.
