Marion J. WaltersNorth Grafton – Marion (Lareau) Walters, died Sunday, June 3, 2018 after dealing with a long illness. Marion was surrounded by love and her family.

Born in Worcester, Marion was the daughter of Carmella (Renzoni) and Raymond Lareau. Marion graduated from high school at Sacred Heart Academy in 1969, and she graduated from Anna Maria College in 1973.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 30 years, Herbert R. Walters; her daughters, Amelia and Martha Walters; her sister, Margaret Peltola and her husband Martti Peltola of Westmister; her sister, Evelyn O’Brien of Worcester and her sons Bernie and Brendan O’Brien with his husband, Elliot Field; and her nephew, Sergio Ramos and his wife Loree Ramos of Portland, Ore. Marion devoted her life to her family. She was a caring and loving soul, who always thought of others.

She worked at the Big D for 23 years, while in high school and college and beyond. Marion graduated as a social worker from Anna Maria College, and also worked at Rutland Heights Hospital for many years.

All are welcome to gather with Marion’s family and friends Wednesday, June 6, from 9:30-11 a.m., at St. Philip’s Church, 12 West St., Grafton, followed by the celebration of her funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in the church. She will then be laid to rest at Pine Grove Cemetery in Grafton.
