Bridget MaunsellGrafton – Bridget (Quinlan) Maunsell, 91, passed away June 16, 2018 at Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Patrick Maunsell, and her children, Elizabeth FitzGerald and her husband Arthur, Kieran “Bob” Maunsell and his wife Natasha, Julie Vona and her husband David, Gerald Maunsell, and Patrick Maunsell. She also lost her daughter, Mary Maunsell, at childbirth. She was predeceased by her brothers, Phillip, Sean, Patrick, Maurice and Gerald Quinlan, and her sister, Katherine Quinlan.

Bridget was born June 3, 1927 in Ireland, daughter of the late Elizabeth (Pierce) and John Quinlan. She grew up there before immigrating to the United States in her early 20s. She returned to Ireland to care for her mother and met her husband Patrick there.

For more than 50 years Bridget lived in Grafton where she raised her family, but the urge to return to her native Ireland never left her as she traveled there and throughout Europe with her husband Patrick. Closer to home, her children and grandchildren were the center of her life.

Funeral services and burial for Bridget will be private at her family’s convenience.

Please honor her with a memorial donation to the MA/NH Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverly Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452 or online at www.alz.org/manh/.

Her family would like to thank the caring staff at Salmon Adult Day Health in Northbridge for their kindness and compassion.
