Janice LaPierreShrewsbury – Janice (Richmond) LaPierre, 79, of Shrewsbury, went to be with the Lord June 19, 2018 at Heywood Hospital in Gardner.

Janice is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Paul R. LaPierre; a son, Robert P. LaPierre and his wife Jessica; a daughter, Paulette L. McKenzie and her husband Keith, all of Shrewsbury; a brother, Donald Richmond of Worcester; 15 grandchildren, Tiffany, Krystal, Corey, Kurtis, Shane, Stefan, Erika, Mallorie, Abrayana, Adam, Alesi, Lyndsey, Aryton, Lana, and Landen; seven great-grandchildren, Logan, Liam, AJ, Tanner, Colin, Jackson, and Zachary; and nieces and nephews. Janice was predeceased by her son, Bruce LaPierre, and by her great-granddaughter, Alessandra.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Edward A. and Blanche E. (Mulhern) Richmond. She graduated from Commerce High School, later moving to Millbury with her husband, before they moved their family to Shrewsbury over 45 years ago.

Janice was a successful Princess House representative, working with the company for over 30 years. Princess House afforded her the opportunity to meet hundreds of people and travel extensively. She was a member of Saint Anne’s Church. She loved jewelry, baking, enjoying ice cream, and boat rides on the lake. Her greatest joy was the special times spent with family where she could shower them with love.

Calling Hours for Janice will be Thursday, June 21, from 4-7 p.m., in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. Her funeral will be Friday, June 22, departing the funeral home at 9:45 a.m. for a Mass at 10 a.m. in Saint Anne’s Church, 130 Boston Tpke. (Route 9 East), Shrewsbury.
