Northborough Summer Concert Series begins June 24

Northborough – The Northborough Community Affairs Committee announced the return of its free Summer Concert Series for 2018. All concerts will be held Sundays at Ellsworth-McAfee Park (Rt. 135) in Northborough from 5 to 7 p.m. Food trucks will be back again this year. The following bands will perform:

June 24 – Hit the Bus  

Hit the Bus formed in 2008 and has played all throughout Massachusetts. They play an eclectic mix of music ranging from the ‘50s to today.

The food vendors for this concert are Northborough House of Pizza, Archies on a Roll and Yummy Mummy Bakery. The Face Escape will be available to paint children’s faces.

July 8 – Late Bus

The Late Bus is a band of dedicated musicians known for pleasing a wide variety of audiences. From Johnny Cash to Prince, from the Beatles to Kings of Leon, they stay true to the originals, while bringing their own unique sound.

The food vendors for this concert are Northborough House of Pizza, Archies on a Roll, and Yummy Mummy Bakery. A balloon artist will be entertaining the children with balloon animals.

July 22 – Playing Dead

Playing Dead is a Grateful Dead tribute band featuring former members of Dark Star Orchestra, Slipknot! and Uncle John’s Band. Their marathon sets feature music and jams from the entire Grateful Dead catalog. Playing Dead faithfully recreates the experience of a live Grateful Dead concert. Every Playing Dead show is unique, featuring different set lists each night and exciting improvisational jams.

Food Truck Night will feature Say Cheese, Sabor Latino, Travelin’ Bones BBQ, Boston Trolley Dogs and Yummy Mummy Bakery. The Face Escape will be available to paint children’s faces.

August 5 – 4EverFab

New England’s premier Beatles tribute band, 4EverFab plays the music of The Beatles, from The Cavern Club to Abbey Road.  Focusing on precise “like-the-record” lead vocals, tight three-part harmonies and outstanding musicianship, 4EverFab provides unique entertainment.
