Sr. Jacqueline MillerMarlborough – Sr. Jacqueline Miller, a Sister of St. Anne, known in religion as Sr. Francis Marie, died June 29, 2018 at Marie Esther Health Center in this city. She was 80 years old and in the 60th year of vowed religious life.

Born in Easthampton, she was the elder of two daughters of Francis and Monique (Tessier) Miller. She was a graduate of the former St. Anne Academy. She earned a BA degree from Anna Maria College (Paxton), certification in Library Science from Regis College (Weston) and graduate degree in Library Science from Rosary College in Chicago. She joined the Sisters of St. Anne in 1956 in Marlborough and professed vows in 1958.

Sr. Jacqueline began her years of service as an elementary school teacher. During those years, she taught in parish schools staffed by the Sisters of St. Anne in Ware, Worcester, Turner Falls, North Adams and Newton in Massachusetts and in Bradenton, Florida. She was a librarian in Central Falls, R.I. schools also staffed by the Sisters and also was a technical aide to the librarian at Anna Maria College. For many years, she has served in the library at Pope St. John XXIII Seminary in Weston and recently retired for health reasons.

Sr. Jacqueline was predeceased by her parents, Francis and Monique Miller, and by her sister, Patricia Miller Nault. She leaves to grieve her a nephew, Larry Nault, the Sisters of St. Anne, her colleagues and friends at Pope St. John XXIII Seminary, and the residents and staff of Marie Esther Health Center.

Her funeral liturgy was held July 2 in the convent chapel of St. Anne Convent of Marlborough, with burial at Evergreen Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home of Marlborough (www.CollinsFuneral.com).
