Region – On June 9, local cancer patients and survivors, including Michael Bloch of Westborough, were honored during Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC) Day at Fenway Park in a pre-game ceremony before the Red Sox took on the White Sox that afternoon. More than 35 riders and volunteers rode in a special parade around the warning track, followed by the official reveal of this year’s PMC logo and fundraising goal of $52 million on the famed Green Monster. PMC Pedal Partners, pediatric cancer patients at the Jimmy Fund Clinic, acted as bat boys and girls and served as the official Play Ball Kid to kick off the game.
