Peter C. Malkowski Jr.Shrewsbury – Peter C. Malkowski Jr., 76, passed away July 26, 2018 following complications stemming from chronic kidney and heart problems.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Charlene (Nied) Malkowski; his sons, Gregory C. Malkowski and his wife Ann Marie and P. Eric Malkowski and his wife Lisa, his grandchildren Daniel J. Malkowski, Sydney, Elisabeth, Nicole, Brian, Kevin and Stephanie Walker, and Ryan E. and Andrew J. Malkowski.

Peter was born Jan. 15, 1942 in Salem, son of the late Genevieve and Peter Malkowski, Sr. His roots were in Salem, and he graduated from St. John’s Prep High School before earning his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and Master’s of Business Administration from Northeastern University. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War where he was stationed in Heidelberg, Germany.

Closer to home, Peter had a life-long passion for skiing, especially at Wildcat Mountain. Peter had a keen interest in aviation and used his engineering acumen to build model aircraft for many years.

All are welcome to gather with Peter’s family Monday, July 30, from 4-7 p.m., at Roney Funeral Home, 152 Worcester St., N. Grafton. A funeral Mass will be celebrated for Peter Tuesday, July 31, at 12 p.m., at St. Mary’s Church, 17 Waterville St., North Grafton. Burial will be private at a later date.
