Summer concert and outdoor movie night to be held in Northborough

Northborough – The Northborough Community Affairs Committee will be holding a free concert featuring “Playing Dead,” a Grateful Dead tribute band, Sunday, Aug. 19, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Ellsworth-McAfee Park (Route 135) in Northborough.

Food trucks will feature Say Cheese, Sabor Latino, Travelin’ Bones BBQ, Boston Trolley Dogs and Yummy Mummy Bakery. A balloon artist will entertain the children with balloon animals.

Sponsors of the event include Main Street Bank, Carvalho & Roth, Flaherty Physical Therapy and Mass. Cultural Council.

“Despicable Me 3” will be shown at a free family outdoor movie night Wednesday, Aug. 22, at 7:15 p.m. at the Melican Middle School Field. Free popcorn and candy will be served while supplies last. Sponsors include BEST Soccer, Carol Crowley from Edward Jones Investments, Goswick Eye, Judy Boyle of ReMax, Trombetta’s Farm, St. Mary’s Credit Union and Wegmans.
