Worcester – Candace Callahan has joined the Worcester JCC staff as the new director of Early Childhood Programs. Callahan’s appointment coincided with former director’s retirement.

“We are very pleased to welcome Candace Callahan as our new director of Early Childhood Center and our Preschool Summer Camp,” said Emily Rosenbaum, executive director of the Worcester JCC. “Candace’s deep experience in the field will help us continue to offer what we believe is the strongest and most enriching array early childhood education programs in the region.”

At the JCC, there are approximately 150 children from 15 months to 5 year each year (and they are still enrolling for the fall.) The JCC is known for supporting learning through experience and exploration. The children’s days are filled with lots of great extras, like swimming, cooking and music. The JCC is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. The JCC is very diverse and welcomes families of all backgrounds, ethnicities and experiences.
