Lenny was born in Marlborough, son of the late Leonard Conway Sr. He graduated from Hudson High School. He was employed by the Town of Hudson in the Department of Public Works for over 30 years.
When he was not working, Lenny could be found in the great outdoors fishing, hunting, boating or taking a spin on his motorcycle.
As he was in all aspects of his life, Lenny continued to display a quiet and strong manner as he dealt with his illness.
He leaves his wife, Elizabeth (Shaw) Conway; a son, Leonard Caira of Sudbury; his mother, Dorothy (Odendhal) Conway DeWolfe and her husband James DeWolfe of Hopkinton; two brothers, Robert Conway and his wife Christine of Sterling and Donald Conway and his partner Pam O’Brien of Clinton, and is also survived by several nieces, a neighbor and close friend Jeanne Pierce, and his devoted dog “Louie,” who never left Lenny’s bedside.
A private graveside service will be held in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury.
Memorial contributions may be American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
