Marlborough – Shirley B. (Jacobson) Singleton, 92, of Marlborough, died Aug. 26, 2018 at Royal Wayland Nursing Home from pneumonia and declining health. She was the wife of the late Jamie Singleton, who died in March 2001.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Lynne and Jeffrey Mower of Centerville and Kathy and William Whitney of Marlborough; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and her sisters and their families, Harriette Laboissonniere and Carol Silva of Rhode Island. She was also the sister of the late Eileen Dubois.
Shirley was a long-time member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church, where she served on the Parish Council and loved singing in the choir. She served as president of the former Marlborough Woman’s Club, 1990-1992, and had been a member of the Colonial Garden Club of Marlborough since 1989. She especially enjoyed the Christmas season with her family.

Visiting hours will be held Thursday, Aug. 30, from 9-10 a.m., at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, 537 Bolton St., Marlborough. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street, Marlborough.
