Marlborough – The Marlborough Cultural Council has set a deadline of Monday, Oct. 15, for organizations, schools and individuals to apply for grants that support cultural activities in the community.

Last year, the application process moved online, and the Marlborough Cultural Council will only be accepting applications submitted online. For more information on how to apply online, visit https://www.mass-culture.org/lcc_public_applicant_guidelines.aspx.

According to council spokesperson Kim Beauchemin, these grants can support a variety of artistic projects and activities in Marlborough, including exhibits, festivals, field trips, short-term artist residencies or performances in schools, workshops and lectures.

This year, the Marlborough Cultural Council will distribute about $10,600 in grants. Previously funded projects include Assabet Valley Mastersingers, Ghost Light Players production of Tennessee Williams’ “Summer and Smoke,” and the Friends of the Marlborough Public Library special programs.
