Shrewsbury – The Spirit of Shrewsbury Fall Festival announced a benefit concert to support three worthy local charities – the Worcester County Food Bank, Shrewsbury Youth & Family Services, and St. Anne’s Human Services. The event is sponsored by the Shrewsbury Federal Credit Union.
This free, family-friendly concert will be held during the Spirit of Shrewsbury Expo, Saturday, Sept. 29, 12 to 7 p.m., behind Sherwood Middle School, 28 Sherwood Ave. The concert showcases bands with local ties. Following the opening ceremony at 12 p.m., the lineup of bands will be:
- 12:15 – 1 p.m. – Whitney Doucet and Moonshine Band, new country, blues, rock (moonshine-band.com)
- 1:15 – 2 p.m. – Dark Horse, classic rock and roll dance music (www.facebook.com/Dark-Horse-Shrewsbury-167339687241868/)
- 2:15 – 3 p.m.– Nemes, indie/rock (facebook.com/nemesband/)
- 3: 30 – 4:30 p.m. – The People’s Party, rock (facebook.com/ThePeoplesPartyMusic/)
- 5 – 7 p.m. – Pink Talking Fish, a fusion of Pink Floyd, Talking Heads and Phish (facebook.com/PinkTalkingFish/)
