Northborough – After months of preparation, the town of Northborough is ready to celebrate its 28th annual Applefest Weekend Sept. 13-16. The weekend will be filled with family-friendly activities, showcasing the many community groups, nonprofits and businesses in the town.
One of the traditional highlights is the parade, which will be held on Sunday, Sept. 16. Serving as grand marshal will be Roger Leland, a local attorney and committed community volunteer. As the Applefest committee noted, Leland is truly deserving of this honor as “he has always been proud of Northborough, putting his time and financial support into making it fiscally strong and maintaining its charm as a wonderful place to live.”
