Marlborough – The Marlborough Historical Society, 377 Elm St., will present “18th Century Agriculture in Massachusetts” Tuesday, Sept. 25, at 7 p.m.

Richard Gnatowski, who for many years was the miller at the Wayside Inn, will talk about agriculture in the community. He has many stories to tell but will focus on the late 1700s. This presentation will illuminate some topics that are interesting and amusing in the mid- to late 18th-century in Massachusetts, such as the influence of the turnip on progressive farming practices as well as the American Revolution.

This event is free and refreshments will be served. Parking is available across the street.
