Dorothy PerryNorthborough – Dorothy May Perry, 90, of Northborough, passed away peacefully Sept. 20 2018, surrounded by her family.

Dorothy, the daughter of Joseph and Eva Rydant (Collette), was born in Scotia, N.Y. and grew up in Saugus and Hudson. Dorothy was the second youngest of  nine children, and is survived by her brother, Lou Rydant of Northborough, and sister, Lorrie Goodrich of Schenectady, N.Y.,  along with many, many nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was the wife of George Perry, who predeceased her in October 2015. Their daughter, Debra Ann Perry of Hebo, Ore., predeceased them both in 1997. Known as Aunt Dot or Aunt Dolly to many, the family were residents of Northborough’s Pinehaven neighborhood since 1960 and hosted many family reunions there.

Dorothy was a longtime employee of Raytheon Corporation at both the Wayland and Sudbury facilities, retiring in 1991 after 35 years.

Dorothy and her husband George enjoyed splitting their time between vacation locations on Cape Cod and in Florida. They were avid dancers and enjoyed square dancing style and had many friends. They enjoyed touring the New England area on motorcycle trips and were happiest vacationing and camping with their lifelong friends Bill and Ann Cross and family of Marlborough, along with sister and brother-in-law Dorothy and Ben StJames and family of Bolton and her many sisters and brothers and their families.

A period of visitation is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 10, from 10-11:30 a.m., with a celebration of her life beginning at 11:30 a.m. at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson, followed by internment at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Hudson.
