Bolton – The visiting Marlborough High School Panthers football team fell to the Nashoba Regional High School Chieftains by a score of 16-13 in a matchup of previously undefeated teams.   The game was played Sept. 28 in Bolton.

Marlborough opened up the scoring with a three-yard touchdown run by Lou Vigeant in the first quarter, with a missed extra point attempt.  Nashoba scored 16 unanswered points before Steven Breitenfeld scooped up a fumble on the Nashoba 8-yard-line and ran it in for a touchdown.  Marlborough had an opportunity to tie the game with a final late drive, but came up short with a missed field goal in the closing seconds.

Marlborough, now 3-1 on the season, will be travelling to Fitchburg next Friday, Oct.  5.  Nashoba, now 4-0, remains undefeated.
