Scouting for Food begins Nov. 3

Southborough – Saturday, Nov. 3, marks the beginning of Southborough’s annual Scouting for Food drive. Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts all over town will be hanging bags on doorknobs to collect donations to benefit the Southborough Food Pantry. This is the largest food drive of the entire year for the Southborough Food Pantry and is essential for keeping the shelves stocked through the winter and beyond. Last year, Scouts collected 8,300 pounds of donated food and pantry items.

Making a donation is simple. Just fill the bag (or more) with contributions of food, personal care and paper products. Leave any filled bags or boxes next to your mailbox by 9 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10, when Scouts will come and pick up your donation. Please be sure to check expiration dates on food items, as the food pantry cannot distribute expired food.
