Open Circle Acupuncture & Healing to host book clubNorthborough – Kim Flaherty and Melissa Stein, the co-owners of Open Circle Acupuncture & Healing, are inviting members of the public to join them for the first meeting of their new book club, which will be held on Thursday, Dec. 6 at 6 p.m.

The goal of this group is to bring the community together for inspiration, connection and fun, the women said, with snacks, tea and great conversation.

There is no commitment required; you many join for one book, skip the next and then come back when you would like.

The selection for the Dec. 6 meeting is “10% Happier: How I Tamed the Voice in My Head, Reduced Stress Without Losing My Edge, and Found Self-Help That Actually Works,” by Dan Harris, a weekend anchor for ABC’s Good Morning America.

After having a nationally televised panic attack, Harris, who was then a highly stressed reporter for ABC News, knew he had to make some changes. Eventually he stumbled upon an effective way that helped him, something he always assumed to be either impossible or useless: meditation, a tool that research suggests can do everything from lower your blood pressure to essentially rewire your brain.

Open Circle Acupuncture & Healing is located at 411 West Main Street, Northborough. For more information call 508-523-7884 or email [email protected].
