Lorraine E. FoleyMarlborough – Lorraine E. (Driscoll) Foley, 89, of Marlborough, died Oct. 23, 2018 at Umass Memorial Health Care Center in Worcester.

She was the daughter of the late William and Edythe (Enright) Driscoll and the wife of Alfred Foley Jr., to whom she had been married for 56 years. She was also the mother of the late Mark Foley, who died in 2013.

After graduating St. Charles High School in Waltham, Lorraine went to work for Hood Milk Company in Watertown. After staying home to raise her children, she went back to work at Big Discount supermarket in Marlborough and later retired from Middlebrook School in Weston as an accountant.

Lorraine loved gardening, looked forward to her lunch with the ladies once a week and enjoyed travelling, having been to Hawaii, Bermuda and Greece. Her true love was taking care of her family, with everyone calling her Nana.

Lorraine is survived by her son, Charles Crocker of Marlborough; her daughter, Susan Van Arsdell and her husband Kevin of Bedford, N.H.; her brother, Jack Driscoll of Ft. Meyers, Fla.; her grandchildren, Jonathan Van Arsdell and his wife Maggie, Laura Tobin and her husband Brian, and Liam Foley; and her great-grandchildren, Hannah Van Arsdell and Grayson Tobin. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Lynne Foley; her sister-in-law, Mitzi Driscoll; and many nieces and nephews. Lorraine was also the sister of the late William Driscoll and Barbara Glawson.

Visiting hours will be held Monday, Oct. 29, from 4-7 p.m., at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough. A funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, Oct. 30, at 11 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlborough. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street, Marlborough.
