Westborough – The Rotary Club of Westborough will be hosting an apparel and accessories drive to benefit Dress for Success Worcester (DFS). DFS envisions a world where women do not live in poverty. They strive for a world where all women are financially independent, are treated with dignity and respect and are directly impacting their lives and those of their families. They aspire to a world that fully harnesses the power of women and recognizes their role in economic sustainability.
The drive will take place from Monday, Oct. 29 through Monday, Nov. 12. Items can be dropped off at the Westborough Public Library, 55 West Main St. and the Boroughs YMCA, 4 Valente Drive, Westborough. If you are interested in making a donation, but you are unable to bring your items to one of these locations please contact the Club’s Service Chair, Shelby Marshall, at [email protected], to arrange a time for pick up.
DFS clients need professional apparel and accessories that are current (less than five years old), clean, and ready to wear (no stains, missing buttons, holes, pulls, scuffs or repairs needed) including:
- Professional suits
- Interview and workplace appropriate separates including blouses, trousers, skirts, dresses, blazers and jackets
- Work appropriate footwear
- Jewelry, scarves and accessories
- Handbags and work totes
- New, unopened cosmetics and hosiery
- Workforce readiness tools, such as flash drives, professional development and empowerment books and padfolios
DFS has a critical need of professional apparel in sizes 000, 000p, 00, 00p, 0, 0p, 2, 2p, 4, 4p, 14w, 14wp, 16w, 16wp, 18w, 18wp, 20w, 20wp, 22w, 22wp, 24w, 24wp, 26w, 26wp, 28w, 28wp. DFS in need of professional shoes in all sizes (5, 5 1/2, 6, 6 1/2, 7, 7 1/2, 8, 8 1/2, 9, 9 1/2, 10, and up).
