Mary Lou DemeliaMarlborough – Mary Lou (Gilmond) Demelia, 74, died Nov. 4, 2018 after a long period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Carmen Demelia. They were married for 34 years.

She was born in Burlington, Vt., the daughter of the late Leo and Myrtle (Briner) Gilmond.

For over 30 years she owned and operated a home daycare service in Marlborough.  She was a member of the Royal T’s motorcycle club and a longtime member of the Greater Grace Christian Fellowship church in Marlborough.

She is survived by four sons, James Lebeau and his girlfriend Wendy Patriacca of Marlborough, Raymond Lebeau and his wife Michelle of Burlington, Vt., Kenneth Lebeau and his wife Julie of Northborough, and Carmen Demelia Jr. and his wife Tammy of Worcester; three daughters, Rosemary Stanley and her husband Wayne of Marlborough, Patty Manley of Florida, and Frances Moura of Marlborough; two sisters, Alberta Ploof and Gloria Gilmond, both of Burlington, Vt.; 24 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Dottie Wood; a sister, Caroline Pecor; two brothers, Leroy and “Butch” Gilmond; and two grandchildren, Joseph Moura and Cody LeBeau.

Her funeral will be held Saturday, Nov. 10, at 10 a.m., in the William R. Short and Son Funeral Home (www.shortfuneral.com), 95 West Main St., Marlborough. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be held Friday, Nov. 9, from 5-8 p.m.
