John J. Rossetti, 87, of ShrewsburyShrewsbury – John J. “Jack” Rossetti, 87, of Shrewsbury and Florida, died Nov. 6, 2018 at the Rose Monahan Hospice House in Worcester. He was the loving husband of 65 years to Dolores A. (Astrella) Rossetti of Shrewsbury.

Born in Worcester, he was the son of the late James P. and Helen Rossetti.

John was a graduate of Commerce High School in Worcester and he earned his Associates Degree from Clark University in Worcester.

He served proudly in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict where he received the Purple Heart. Jack then transferred to the U.S. Air Force to finish his 34 years in the armed forces.

Jack and his wife were longtime members of the Pleasant Valley Country Club in Sutton and the Frohsinn Club in Shrewsbury where he and Dolores loved to dance.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, John J. Rossetti Jr. and his wife Sydney of Jacksonville, Fla., Josephine P. Siemaszko and her husband Robert of Worcester, and James Rossetti of Worcester; his grandchildren, Michael Siemaszko and his wife Erica, Julia, Max and Lily Rossetti; his granddaughter-in-law, Jennifer Siemaszko; and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by Joan Ciccio and many nieces and nephews. He was the loving grandfather of the late Robert “Bobby” Siemaszko, who died in 2016, and the brother of the late Bob Rossetti.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jack’s life Friday, Nov. 9, from 8:30-9:30 a.m., at the Chiampa Funeral Home 〜 The Sumner House, 5 Church Road, on the Common, Shrewsbury Center, followed by his funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, 640 Main St., Shrewsbury. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery of Worcester.
