Laura A. LoureiroHudson – Laura A. Loureiro, 56, a lifelong resident of Hudson, passed away peacefully Nov. 17, 2018, at UMass Medical Center in Worcester, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Laura was born in Marlborough on March 9, 1962, a daughter of Manuel P. and Silvia Ann (Baron) Loureiro. She was raised in Hudson, where she graduated from high school and resided most of her life. She worked as a medical administrative assistant at Marlborough Hospital for many years.

Laura was naturally a caring and nurturing person, who loved, cared for and raised her stepsons and many nieces and nephews as if they were her own. Her home was a place that was always open to her many friends and family.

Laura enjoyed cooking, knitting, crocheting and caring for her flower gardens. She also enjoyed treasure hunting and finding bargains at local flea markets.

Laura leaves behind many heartbroken survivors, among them are her beloved companion, Frank DeMore; her stepsons, Frank Demore II, Anthony Demore, and Paul Henning, and her stepdaughter, Sky Roderick, and father Manny Roderick; her siblings, Lisa Stefanik, Jason W. Loureiro and his wife Michelle, Diane Brown and her husband Warren, Donna DiPersio and Steven Loureiro and his wife Jane; and many nieces and nephews whom she adored. In addition to her parents, Manuel P. and Silvia Ann (Baron) Loureiro, she was also predeceased by her siblings, Tish Benjamin, Manuel Loureiro, John Loureiro and David Loureiro.

Relatives and friends are invited to a period of calling hours Friday, Nov. 30, from 5-7 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 7 p.m. at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson.
