Diane ChimeraMarlborough – Diane (Busch) Chimera, 80, died unexpectedly Nov. 22, 2018.  She was born in Buffalo, N.Y., one of thirteen children of the late Andrew and Laura (DeVoe) Busch.

Ms. Chimera worked as a dietary supervisor at Sisters of Charity Hospital in Buffalo for many years before moving to Marlborough. After raising her kids, she went back to work cleaning homes in the Marlborough area.

She was a longtime member of the former Saint Ann’s church in Marlborough and was very proud of having worked on the presidential campaign of John F. Kennedy.  Some of her favorite hobbies were crossword puzzles, long car rides and spending time in Maine.

She is survived by two daughters, Geraldine Chimera of Marlborough and AnnMarie Chimera, her husband Theodore Merkel, and their two children Jordan and Vanessa of Worcester; two sons, Anthony Chimera and his wife Jessica of Hudson and Richard Chimera and his fiancée Erin of Worcester; two sisters, Laura Oliver and JoAnn Maisano, both of New York; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, Nov. 28, at 11 a.m., in the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlborough. Burial will be at a later date. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, Nov. 27, from 5-8 p.m., in the William R. Short and Son Funeral Home (www.shortfuneral.com), 95 West Main St., Marlborough.
