Gerard H. BouleMarlborough – Gerard H. Boule, 86, of Marlborough, died peacefully in his sleep Dec. 19, 2018 at The Oasis at Dodge Park in Worcester.

Born in Marlborough, he was the son of the late Herve and Isabelle (Girouard) Boule. He was the husband of Dolores (Rouleau) Boule of Marlborough, to whom he had been married for the past 58 years.

He was a graduate of St. John’s High School and Holy Cross College. Jerry enjoyed serving in the Marine Corps from 1954-1956. Following his discharge he remained in the Reserves, where he was named Commander of a Communications Company in Worcester, for the next 14 years.

In 1956, he also joined his father at the H.J. Boule Insurance Agency in Marlborough, which he owned and operated for many years.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Peter G. Boule of Marlborough, Thomas J. Boule of L.A., and Mari-Jane Baker of Marlborough; his sister, Betty Richardson and her husband Paul of Canton, Ohio; six grandchildren that he adored, Mariah (Baker) Agudelo and her husband Alex of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Renee Baker of Marlborough, Katherine Boule, Alexandria Boule, Peter G. Boule Jr., and John Boule, all of Hudson; and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Suzanne Landry and her husband Dr. Charles Landry.

Visiting hours will be held Friday, Dec. 21, from 5-7 p.m., at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, Dec. 22, at 10 a.m., at St. Bernadette Church, Main Street, Route 20, Northborough. Burial will be private.
